A new development of two houses. These two stunning roofs were covered with Redland Cambrian slates. They both featured unusual detailing of mitred hips adding to the crisp finish of the site.
The centrepiece of plot one is a lead covered round turret completed with code 5 lead. Cambrian slates were chosen because of the added security of a Redland fixing specification in this exposed location.
This project was entered into the NFRC 2008 Roofing awards in the slate category.
For extra piece of mind a government endorsed TrustMark ten year guarantee was issued.

This involved the complete makeover of the roof. AST stripped the existing clay plain tiles and timber boarding to the dormers.
The roof was fully insulated, a breathable felt introduced, ‘Heather' man made slates were laid, reducing the weight of the roof. The dormers were tile hung with concrete plain tiles giving the building a crisp new look. To compliment the roof works, new plastic fascia, soffit and gutter were also installed.
A building control certificate was issued which can then be left in the home information pack.
For extra piece of mind a government endorsed TrustMark ten year guarantee was issued.

An Edwardian property which had reached the end of its life. This roof although had been heavily repaired still had large areas where the battens were slipping due to failed steel nails and lead detailing that had worn out.
Marley Eternit antique clay plain tiles were chosen in Antique, these were complimented with matching valley and arris hips. Plain crested ridge tiles were supplied by Redbank.
All associated lead-works were replaced, ranging from soakers, stepped flashings to new code 5 lead flat roofs.
This project was entered into the NFRC 2008 Roofing awards in the plain tile category.
For extra piece of mind a government endorsed TrustMark ten year guarantee was issued.
